Sophie Coyote is a singer-songwriter born and raised in the small Midwestern town of Waddams Grove, Illinois, in an old farmhouse surrounded by rolling fields. Raised on a broad range of musical influences spanning classic rock and roll, honky-tonk country, and blues, she developed a songwriting style rooted in the raw, honest tradition of lyrically driven music.
After years of wanting to sing but lacking the confidence to pursue it, Sophie made a defining decision in December 2021: she quit her job and committed to becoming a full-time musician. That leap led to her 2022 live EP Indigo Child, a six-song original collection recorded in Grand Rapids, MI, featuring Nashville musicians including Lillie Mae on fiddle and members of the Dierks Bentley band on drums. Her single "Forget Me Nots" has connected with folk and Americana listeners far beyond the Midwest.
Sophie has been featured on WNIJ Studio A and continues to build a following through honest performances that put the song first. Her music is intimate by design, her stories unfiltered, and her stage presence quietly commanding.
