Strange News is a heavy rock outfit out of Morrison, Illinois, playing loud, riff forward rock and roll with a heavier, doom leaning edge. The band keeps things simple: big dual guitar parts, a driving rhythm section, and no gimmicks.
Their CDF session captures Death Rides The Winds of September, a blues rock leaning track pulled from the band's debut EP, Liar's Curse. It is the kind of riff built for a loud truck stereo as much as a record.
Strange News also holds a small piece of CDF history. They were the first full band to record a session in the CDF studio, setting the bar for every group that has come through since.
