CDF Pick
Trevor
Vaughan
Trevor Vaughan is a singer songwriter from Greenville, South Carolina. Growing up surrounded by country music, his exposure to a wide range of genres through family and friends helped shape his diverse musical style. Inspired by his favorite band, Relient K, Trevor embraces the freedom to write across genres rather than be defined by just one.
Trevor began writing songs at age 15 but found his creative stride in his early twenties. His degree in screenwriting from L.A. Film School has profoundly influenced his approach to songwriting, allowing him to tell stories through different perspectives and capture emotions beyond his own personal experiences.
Rather than simply following the advice to “write what you know,” Trevor strives to write what he can imagine, understand, and feel. His ability to bring unfamiliar stories to life with authentic emotion may be what sets him apart from the rest.
Trevor plans to release his debut EP in early 2027, beginning with his first single, “Sycamore.”
